USDA Bureau of Home Economics Poster Series (Set of 13)
USDA's Bureau of Home Economics designed this set of posters (each 25" x 20") to be displayed together, in order, probably as part of home economic exhibits and displays. The set used FSA-style documentary photography and the slogan “Make America Strong” to call attention to malnutrition and undernourishment affecting many populations in the 1930s.
The images and text imply that healthier communities are possible and that healthy children and a healthy citizenry would make the country stronger and more productive.
